A Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm Based on Voronoi Diagram for Deployment of Wireless Sensor Networks on 3-D Terrains

The deployment strategy for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) affects the quality of service (QoS). Adopting a reasonable can improve QoS WSNs. In this paper, problem regarding node WSNs on three-dimensional (3D) terrain is modeled as multi-objective optimization problem. coverage rate WSNs, their unbalanced energy consumption, and number nodes are used fitness functions We propose non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm based Voronoi diagram (VNSGA) solving network issue improving 3D terrain. proposed applies to obtain node-sensing radius communication radius, which suitable with respect calculating function Pareto optimal solution obtained by retaining close reference point. experiments compare Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Algorithm (MOPSO) Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic III (NSGA-III) two terrains different ranges. experimental results show that outperforms comparison both range sizes. 97.95% reduce imbalance in consumption 9.13% large
